Bypassing the Ignition Switch
Ok, so I realize that this might not be a cool question to ask or maybe that the answer shouldn't really be put out there to the public. I'll give a little background first. I just bought a salvaged 300 that was a theft recovery. I am building it into a race bike. There is no ignition switch and I am not going to put one on it. I know that someone makes a keyless ignition kit for it, but I'm already on a tight budget and don't want to spend money where I don't need to.
The bike doesn't even have the harness that is attached to the ignition. The main harness has a couple of the wires already taken out of the white plug that would go to the ignition harness. They are twisted together but I have no idea if it was done correctly. Does anyone know what colors wires need to go where so that I can just use the kill switch? I've got my other street going 300 sitting right next to this one. There are five wires on the main harness and 7 wires on the ignition harness. I'm not sure where the other two wires go or why they are there, seems odd to me but the bike starts and runs fine.
Anyway, if you have done this on a race bike before, please PM me instructions on how to do it. I don't want to burn something up like the last yahoo who jacked this thing.
