Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Affects Honda CTX700, Suzuki Hayabusa, Kawasaki Ninja 250

dont know if this was posted here but is something you should have in mind SE ABS guys.
just take a look at all the article

http://blog.motorcycle.com/2013/07/1...250r-and-more/

On certain motorcycles, the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) modulator may have been manufactured incorrectly and could fail. Loss of ABS function would allow the front and/or rear wheel to lock under braking which, in conjunction with traffic and road conditions, and the riders reactions, could increase the risk of a crash causing property damage and/or personal injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the ABS modulator.

Mods:
40t sprocket|Ebc HH front pads|Woodcraft clip ons|SsR preload fork adjusters|SSR stering stem bolt|Area-p tuner|Area p long full exhaust|SSR block off plate|Progrip 717 grips|Progress tank pad|Shorty green levers|SSR spools,|Targa fender eliminator|Solo seat cowl|Front reflector delete|R6 throttle tube|K&N hi flow filter|SS brake lines|Zero Gravity Corsa screen|SSR frame plugs|Bridgestone Hypersport S20|Steering stem tapered bearings

Don't Kawasaki say the 300's ABS unit is the lightest ever made? They make a big thing of it in their pomotional literature. Therefore it must be a different unit to the one fitted to the Ninja 250.

Or at least, so I would assume.

I have learned the hard way that even with a 60mph start, you can't fly.
Hopefully no one with ABS will have the failure occur

I bet there is a recall coming for us. It states in the article the 2013 250r and the 300 have the same parts except for the engine.

One more possible reason to delay the 2014's
I would rather wait and have them get it right though.

The recall should fix it, and who knows, it might be a limited run of the abs modules so we may not be included. We will see.
