If you go out with Evolve or head up to NYST before we can work something out, HMU. I've been to NCBike, Pocono, NJMP, and NYST, so could at least give you an idea of who to look for and where to go. NYST is by far the most welcoming, it's just in the middle of nowhere. Bill Sink is the guy that runs Evolve, hunt him down on facebook, and he'll tell you anything you can think to ask. Great guy little depressing to be on a "faster" bike and have him pass me like I am stopped.

Okay, will do. Let me know as well if you have another chance to go again this year.

I think CSS is a great introduction to the track. It is different from a trackday because each session has limitations on gear selection and braking. Also, everyone goes out on track with a lesson in mind.

I think doing levels 1 and 2 as your introduction are great. Hopefully, they will set you up for a solid foundation so that you avoid bad habits.

Like you, I also attended CSS for my first time on track (Laguna Seca 2007). It was a blast! I've now done levels 1-4, and I have learned a lot each time I have gone.

After levels 1 and 2, I would recommend that you attend some track days and practice. That way, you can apply what you've learned at CSS before going back for more. It's one thing to hear it, and another thing to have the muscle memory.

Like Onward said, EvolveGT is a fantastic group. NYST also has its own group of people. I have mainly been riding with EvolveGT this year, and think their coaches are top notch. Of course, with the different groups of people, you may find yourself getting different advice. My recommendation would be to evaluation your riding, think about what works and what doesn't, and figure out your own style from the different sources you have access to.

All in all, I think CSS is a great value. Another option is YCRS, Yamaha Champions Racing School, which partners with EvolveGT. I haven't ridden with YCRS, but they are also highly recommended.

Have fun!
Thank you for the feedback. Definitely will do some track days now that I have completed CSS.

The prices vary depending on location and whether you do a one or two-day. Not sure if using your own bike makes a difference in cost. You can check their website for info http://superbikeschool.com.
