I ride in Daytona Sport Evo's. I'm told they're the safest boots you can buy. Hand made in germany, 2 part construction with an inner and outer boot etc etc.

Comfy but I feel like the Dainese axial pro ins are comfier IMHO. Daytona's a 7/10 for comfy and the Axials a 8/10. My jordan sneakers being a 10/10 lol

You can fit jeans over them if you want as well. Not that you should be riding in jeans. #leatherallday

I own a pair of SIDI Doha boots and a pair of Speed and Strength Black 9 Moto shoes. Both are great for walking around in. The SIDI's definitely offer better protection, although the Speed and Strength shoes are definitely the more comfortable pair for wearing all day. I plan on ordering a pair of SIDI Vertigo boots soon for canyon/track days.

I got some Bilt boots before I got my bike, I think they were called trackstars, and they fell apart from regular use. Returned them for some alpinestar SVX5s and they are SO much nicer, more comfortable, and sturdier.

The first motorcycle boots I purchased were these Joe Rocket Heartbreaker boots with a hidden wedge inside: (IGNORE THE FOR SALE SIGN)
They were super comfortable and I really liked them! The rubber soles were SUPER grippy and I didn't feel like I had on heels at all. They were really stiff and protective for my ankles. I had to adjust my shifter to ride in them, but overall, my review of them is that they're really good. They don't look that great in the photo but they were brand new and not broken in yet.
I ended up selling them ONLY because I didn't wear them while I took a year off from riding.

When it was time to ride again, I ended up buying a pair of track boots from a girl on Instagram. They were in such awesome, broken in condition, I always found myself pulling these out of the closet rather than the Joe Rocket ones:
I know these are Alpinestars but I'm not sure...MDX-5? I'm not sure. Anyhow - my review of these are they are super comfy to ride and walk in...but I also got them gently broken in so I have no idea how they would feel if they were new.

So I got a pair of the clones, since from the comparison they seem to be the same, just a different brand, and I don't care about buying brand names.

Today is my first time wearing them, and here are my thoughts so far. Granted, this is also my first time wearing any boots, so these thoughts will be in comparison to riding with tennis shoes.

1. The calf feels too loose. I think it is made that way so that people can tuck their pants into the boots, but I wear loose jeans, and tucking them in would cause it to clump. There is a device to tighten the calf somewhat, but even fully tightened it is still a little loose.

2. They fit nicely around the foot, though walking is less comfortable than my shoes.

3. Not being able to feel the gear shift seriously messed with me. The boots are so armored that I couldn't tell if my foot was under the level or not, whereas before I could feel it pressed against the top of my shoe. This will take some serious getting used to.

4. After wearing them for an hour while sitting at a desk, I notice that my calves are starting to sweat, and I don't sweat easily. I'm wishing I had brought my shoes after all, but I wanted to see how feasible it was to wear these all day.

Now, once again, I'm sure some of these observations hold true for most boots, but I don't normally wear boots. Just thought I'd give people my experience, in case they are in the same boat of wanting to buy their first pair of boots.

Oh ouch, yeah, they're not really meant to be worn for walking around. They're never going to be as comfortable as regular shoes.

You'll find that with any racing style boot - they're meant to give you the best protection possible in the event of a high speed crash. Riding in them versus regular shoes or even a more touring oriented motorcycle boot will feel very different. I have a pair of Sidi Vertigo boots and a pair of Dainese Sirens - the Dainese I can feel the shifter on my foot; but with the Sidis it's impossible. You get used to it after awhile, though.

Not really feasible at all. They're not meant for that kind of wear. I guess you could put a fan by your feet so that air gets blown into the vents.

Congrats on getting a good pair of boots, though. It will take some getting used to, but soon you'll wonder why you ever took the unnecessary risk of riding in street shoes.

I just bought some Alpinestars SMX plus boots, great fit, comfy as anything and very easy to shift. Has alot of grip on the sole to hold onto the pegs than I found with a standard work boot does ( of course) has removeable toe sliders and extra material where your shifter goes so the boot doesnt get ruined as easily. Only downside on these is that the multilink control on the back of the shoe squeaks when you walk because of the rubbing motion for them to flex with your walking. Other than that, a great riding boot !

I ride the Icon Reign boots. Overall I've been very happy with them. They do fine in colder conditions and surprisingly aren't too hot to ride in the Summer months. I have yet to encounter heavy rain in them so I can't speak to their water proof ability which is their claim to fame.

My only issue is they are a single side zip fitment with a Velcro flap to support the zipper area. I don't know if it's just my body or if all of them have this issue, but the zips are nearly impossible to get to seal. They are rubberized. I'm not saying they don't zip up fully. They do. But, when zipped the rubber portions don't meet up the full length of the zipper. It makes me wonder how water proof they'll really be. But, there is a rain gaiter behind them so the zipper isn't fully responsible for water proofing them. They may work just fine. If I encounter heavy rain I'll update this review.

Debating between Sidi Fusions, Tcx Sport Tours, and A* SMX5s. Will be using for daily riding and occasional track days. Decisions decisions.

Dainese Lince. I ordered the earlier in the season to replace my laced tourmasters which were not as comfortable. The Dainese Lince is a Mid-High gortex boot which offers protection in all the right places while still looking as much as possible like a normal boot. Having ridden to classes quite a few times and wearing it through the entire day, I'd have to say they are pretty comfortable to walk around it as well. And no laces to deal with!
