ABS and ECU Recall

Just found out that Kawasaki has put a recall on ABS models and ECU replacements.

Everyone please check with

thanks for the info
i believe the ecu replacement is for the stall issue however i have checked kawasaki australia and there isnt a recall for us atm

I don't have the VIN handy right now. Is the ECU recall for all 300s or just the ABS models?

Its two separate recalls I believe. Sorry I wasn't more specific. I'm at work on posting from my phone. Just wanted to get the info out there.

The ECU recall is for all 300's and is related to the stall. When I say all 300's... those in the US at the moment.

For people with Canadian VINs, anyone know if there's a way to check short of calling the dealer? I can't find an equivalent recall checker on the Canadian Kawi site.

Both of ours need the ecu recall, where is the ecu located on the 300?

, the vehicle may stall under deceleration due to an improper se

the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). This could create the potential
for a crash, resulting in injury or death. Our records indic

purchased one of these units.
What Kawasaki and your dealer will do:
Your Kawasaki dealer will correct this problem for you at no c
harge. The correction will consist
of replacing the electronic co
ntrol unit. The actual
repair will take up to one hour but may take longer due to sc
heduling at the dealership and the time needed to obtain required
parts.
What you must to do to ensure your safety:
Please call your authorized Kawasaki motorcyc
le dealer to schedule an appointment and take this letter with you at the time of
your appointment.
DO NOT RIDE YOUR MOTORCYCLE UNTIL THE REPAIR HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
