Unhappy Some lady hit my beloved ninja

I went in for a quick run to a local store and i parked behind a lady (There weren't any spots so i had to parallel park behind her) and she backed up and hit the front of my bike breaking my front wheel fender (i think is what it's called at least). It was hit when it was parked so my wheel was turned to the left and at an angle leaning on the kickstand and such. I thought it was just the plastic and i was just going to replace it and have her pay me money for the part but when i got onto my bike and rode home, the front end felt really squirrely and kind of light? I'm not entirely sure how to describe it but i think there might be something wrong with my front end that isn't just cosmetic. Has anyone else had this happen to them before? I can't tell if it was because of the wind or if it was just adrenaline and i couldn't keep the bars still or if it was because it was wet or if my mind's just playing games on me but something definitely feels off. Any input would be possible or troubleshooting methods to see if your steering/suspension works fine would be greatly appreciated

tl;dr- lady hit my bike, i think there might something wrong with my steering, please help if possible.

Thank you

Bent forks, bent rim, bent steering head column, low tire pressure, the list could go on.

Just take it to a bike shop and get a mechanic to check it out.

Good luck getting money from here unless she already agreed. And if the price goes up to fix again good luck.

Take it to a shop and next time just park on the sidewalk. The ticket will be cheaper than the damage and hassle you go through now.

I got her info (plates, insurance, drivers license, number, etc) and everything else like pictures and i have two witnesses so i feel like she can't get away from this. do you think i would be able to legally say "you have to pay for this inspection/fender part" and such? Or can she just say eff you and pretend like it never happened?

If that is the only damage your bike took(I am assuming it wasn't knocked over), it is highly unlikely you have any mechanical damage to your bike as a result of that hit. The front end of the motorcycle isn't that delicate.

Since you felt the front end was not right just get the bike checked for loose steering head bearing & get it tightened if needed.

Her insurance is responsible for all costs. You need to call them and document it, save your receipts, and get reimbursed by the insurance or have them billed directly. Once you call them, they'll tell you how to handle it.

Unless she asked to pay out of pocket, which you have to figure out with her how to handle.

If you don't know how to inspect a bike after it's been hit, always have a pro have a look at it.
