2015 Ninja 300

One of my local shops has a few leftover 2015 Ninja 300's. They haven't come down from MSRP- they have it priced at $4999 less the $750 bonus bucks. I bet they would come down a little more- maybe knock off the $150 doc fee they throw in there? Should I have any concerns about buying a brand new bike that has been in the showroom/warehouse for 12-18 months? Any info will be appreciated.

Haven't been on a bike for about 3-4 yrs... but want to get back on!

A new leftover '15 should be about $4K even, especially in a market like Ohio. Screw those guys. Open up your mileage radius for how far you are willing to go.

maybe he can talk them down. if you can get it for 4k out the door, that'd be good.

the fact that it's been sitting for over a year at the dealer is no issue. it's not like it's been in a barn, with rats eating the wiring, and collecting dust.

I say offer $4,000 out the door (including taxes, fees, title and registration). Most likely, they'll decline. If they're willing to do $4,500 out the door, ask for a brand new battery and new tires and point out the tires on the bike was manufactured in 2015. Maybe if you point that out, they may be willing to go lower on the price for the bike as-is. I'm pretty sure the Kawi warranty is valid, but it doesn't hurt to ask just to be sure.

+1 on what Cadd said

For the record, tire rubber doesn't start to decline for about 3 years and 5 or so years is the consensus at which you should change them. if you can get a new, aftermarket pair, that would be nice, though. a new battery would be cool too.

I have rode them both and I think I have an idea, but... how disappointing would one of the Z125 Pros be as compared to the Ninja 300? I really just ride for fun, no commuting to work, no highway, just around town fun. I do like the occasional country back road WOT though. I know not much in the area of WOT on 125cc.

I've not ridden the Z125 but I wouldn't even bother comparing the 2. one can be used for everything, the other is just for short, slower commutes and looks uncomfortable.

Yes, the Kawasaki warranty is still valid. But I wasn't so sure about the tires, battery, oil and such. Does seem like they should make the deal a whole lot sweeter if they want to sell a couple older 2015's. I mean, the only bonus they are throwing in is the extra $250 in Kawasaki bonus bucks. ($750 off on the 2015- but I can get $500 off on a 2016 or even a 2017)???

I know comparing the Z125 to the Ninja 300 is like apples to oranges, but man that Z125 brings out the little kid in me.

Then like $399 for taxes and fees.
