I think I have tried it all and I just can not get the wheel tape to look good, I stand back and look at it and its just wavy and terrible looking.. Do you guys have any secrets of the install to make a perfect circle?
Patience...
Slow, and easy. Use a mixture of water and liquid soap while installing it. You can "float" it around a bit, then press the solution out, and it'll dry in place.
It'll never look good enough to you. I put it on my FZ1, and was frustrated, but standing back, it looks sharp.
It comes with that applicator tool. It was easy peasy for me.
Never got a chip on it. Its not in the location to get chips really.
I will tell you one thing though... the stuff could withstand a nuclear explosion. I had mine on for 2 season and decided I wanted to paint my rims. well, It was the hardest thing in life to try and get off... what a PITA!
So beware... once its on, please dont plan on taking it off. LOL
You guys should check out these http://www.rhok.com.au/wheel lights.htm. I'm not really into mods or bling but I reckon these would great for night time riding and wow factor.
I was looking for black rim tape that reflected white... but just ended up purchasing progrip white reflective from amazon. I'll let you all know how it turns out!
Ordered rim tape from customtaylor33 off Amazon. Super easy to install, with no tools. Didn't have to float it & comes in pre curved cut sections. Little more pricey than others but I'm happy with the quality. Plus super fast shipping!
