Riding up high with my head in the clouds

Today was officially the worst ride of my short motorcycle career. It was 50 degrees, it had stopped raining, the roads were clean, and I wanted to try out a new, quick, 40-mile tour. I live in the middle of motorcycle touring country (Berkshires, CT), so nice rides are easy to get to.

So I turn, it goes uphill for a bit, and - wham! - I'm stuck in a low-hanging cloud. Visibility drops to 20-50 yards, confident, speedy SUV drivers with infrared vision devices (?) all over the place, and scared, cold, lonely me doing 35 in a 45, trying to spot the car(s) turning into my lane because it/they didn't see my little headlight. Let me tell you, a wet visor in foggy conditions is no help!

Well, here I am, back in one piece - and this is what it felt like:

Enjoy!

As soon as the WHAM happened, I would of turned back around, went down the hill OUT OF it, and rode back home.

In hindsight, yes!! At the time, I thought it was a fog bank. I only saw the cloud once I got down from the elevated area.
