Is the first pic in Ybor? Once my gear gets in I will start riding around the Tampa area too. All I have is free time so I can ride all over and check out different places. Supposed to get my helmet today and just ordered all my other gear yesterday so probably another week or so for that stuff.

Great pics.

I have done a 800 miles in 1 day stoping about every 2 hours or so. Its not that bad but I did tend to move around a lot. Once you get used to the seat you don't notice how bad it is any more. imo

If I'm not workin' I'm ridin'

Maybe if I could ride in ass-less chaps it would have been fine but the stock seat leaves much to be desired. The bar position is great though, back and wrists are fun (unlike long CBR journeys where my back takes a beating)

Overall comfort is a bit worse than the 650R, but much better than a supersport. Might rig up some removable highway pegs before planning any long journeys.

gel seat pad for the seat, and adjustable pegs. bar risers. solved :-)

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.

Ride Shorter - Enjoy More

From my years of riding experience. When you start to feel sore or uncomfortable it's time to get off the bike a walk around a bit. Riding fatigue is one of the many dangers when riding a bike. If you are not concentrating on the surroundings with a clear mind you will not be able to react as sharpe as when you are fresh. Don't try to be macho and see how long you can ride without getting off the bike. It will only get you and/or your bike hurt.

This is one of the reasons why I don't like riding in group formations. The leaders always wants to put on a show for the trailing riders. When I do lead a group ride, people with cameras love me as I will stop often for great shots. Heck, I stopped 3 times within a mile on 12 rider group because the views were just to good not take in off the bike.

Learn to get off you bike often. You will live longer to ride and might even learn to love riding more because of it.

Long term update: seat still sucks. Wears in a little after the first thousand miles or so, but the leg position will wear me out after a few hours as easily as the seat so there's not much sense in upgrading just one of them.

Longest ride now, about 500miles from Dunedin, FL to Atlanta. Took nearly 7 hours and I only stopped twice, both times for fuel! Ouch!
