Anyone have any issues yet? Last week I started getting a screech noise coming from my front wheel when it turns. Can really hear it when i get up to speed. Friend told me the front wheel bearing needs to be lubed. I can do it myself but would this be something covered in warranty?
If it is the same standard they used everywhere else on the bike, pop them out and get a good set from a bearing supply store. They are probably the cheapest, worst bearings you could source.
never had an issue either. i wouldnt stuff around trying to lube it. take it back to dealer & see if you can get it done under warranty.its worth a shot
I hate to dissent, but the stock crap bearings aren't the solution, same as the steering head. If my wheel bearings make it to winter, I'll tear them out and put in top grade ones, or at the next tire change. If I hear a single chirp, they are gone the next day!
Kawi cut corners everywhere, a few $15 bearings that you can trust for 30k miles is just too cheap not to upgrade.
I've been that guy a few hundred miles from home sitting waiting for a buddy with a truck when struck by a bad wheel bearing, no thanks. What a PITA!
